2025 events at the Dungeon, Manor and Garden of La Salle

Mélody is an ethnologist, she has traveled a lot, she is passionate about birds and animals in general. She has an eye, she practices tracking and if she is an expert in finding animal tracks freshly left in the earth, she also recognizes fossils and has studied their particularities and origins a lot! Come take part in a living workshop, where you will learn a lot about these strange pebbles that are found all over the world. Animals, plants? Fossils tell us the history of the past. Mélody will teach you all about their mysteries and the strange creatures found in these traces, bone remains… Where is the limit between the fantastic and the real?!

The “Fossils and Fantastic Creatures” workshops will take place at 2 p.m. and continue all afternoon on: April 9, 16, 20, 21, 23 and 30, 2025.
– Mélody will also be present in July & August, every Wednesday afternoon.
– And during the All Saints’ Day holidays, October 29, 30 and 31.

Catherine Heine has an immense knowledge of aromatic and medicinal plants in the garden. She offers us a participatory and very concrete workshop, to know and recognize, understand, smell, touch and taste these wonders! You will be able to identify them easily and will surely want to plant them in your garden too! The workshop takes place partly in our small medieval herb garden, then the group goes to the dungeon, in the magnificent herbalist’s room. Surrounded by jars, you will learn how to use common plants from our garden in the kitchen, but also to treat minor ailments of the whole family (this is not medical advice but wellness advice). Valuable knowledge!
